Division is often the hardest part of elementary math for students to learn. From the format to complex long division and remainders, it can be a scary part math to learn. With all of the division books and teaching aids available it doesn't have to be so intimidating. Division generally follows multiplication in the math programs at school. Understanding multiplication will help a student begin to understand division, by reversing the math and dividing the number rather than multiplying it. If 4x4 equals 12, then 16÷4 equals 4. That is the exact teaching that some of the educational guides teach in a far more comprehensive method.
